So now you’ve had a chance to see the elements of a Light Beat, let’s crank it up a notch and move to the next level. Welcome to the Medium Beat. A Medium Beat is great for going out on that first date…you know when you don’t want to do just enough, not too, too much.
This application is also perfect for happy hours, business meetings, and small gatherings.
In this Beat, include the Light Beat products (foundation, gloss, bronzer) and add mascara, eye shadow, and a lip liner. Here are my favorites:
Mascara

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara
I’ve been using this since I could use mascara. It’s a simple, inexpensive great mascara that can move your lashes from good to great. It’s been voted the #1 mascara in America if that helps to convince you. It doesn’t clump and it keeps your lashes separated. Tip: try to paint each individual lash for a longer effect…and don’t forget the bottom row if you want Betty Boop lashes
.
Eyeshadow
Prescriptives ‘Winter Reflections’ Warm Eye Color Quad
This quad of colors is perfect for a Medium Beat. Warm and neutral colors on the eye help to achieve a clean polished look. You can use each separately or use the quad for full effect. Tip: remember darker shades closer to your eyelash, lighter closer to your brow.
Lip Liner

MAC Chestnut Liner
This liner is another staple in my life. It compliments my skin tone and changes my lip gloss instantly, plus it makes the color last longer. MAC describes their lip pencil as, “a pencil designed for shaping, lining or filling in the lip. Lip pencils have a smooth, creamy texture that is perfect for lining the lips or filling them in. Lip pencils can be worn alone, with lipstick, or lipglass.” Find the best shade for you.

Hi Donita
I have my glam squad on your question. Definitely look for something that is hypoallergenic. Look into some gel forms to help with the smearing. Check out http://www.twenga.com/dir-Health-Beauty,Make-up,Eyeliner-01064 for a couple of different ones to choose from. Great Luck

Lately, I’ve been having a terrible time with eyeliner. It used to be a staple in my arsenal, but now it only irritates my eyes. I’ve also had a problem with it smearing all over my eyes and face. Crazy right? I know. Any suggestions on which liners might not irritate my eyes?
