What am I doing?
To be honest, I don’t know.  Peaking my curiosity I guess.  Trying something new, maybe?
All I know is that I am very excited to be launching LA’s Beauty Beat.  This blog is intended to take the guesswork out of finding the best in beauty products.  I would like to inform, educate, and inspire you to take a look in the mirror and say, “Dang, my Beat is flawless.”

Before I go any further, let me introduce the term “Beat” to you. Simply stated, to beat means to apply make up.  However, I think  it means a little bit more.  When a woman “beats”  or “beats her face,” she is really applying her makeup with purpose.  She’s thought about the look she wants to achieve and how it will make her feel.

As the weekly postings begin you will start to get a sense of what I mean and you will be screaming, “girl your face is BEAT!”  And you’ll LOVE every minute of it.

LA’s Beauty Beat will consist of my personal favorites as well as my not so favorites.  I will review new products along with those that are tried and true.  I will also defer to my friends and colleagues in the industry for  expert advice and opinions.  Look out for “Adrin’s Beat” as well “Living Well with JoElle.” Adrin and JoElle are our resident experts in the hair, makeup, and the skincare game.

Most importantly, I want to hear and see you.  Check out our Beauty Beat of the Week, where we feature your best beat sent in by you.
