After my great evening with friends, Stephanie and Kwame treated me to a day of relaxation on Saturday. ( Thanks again guys :-)
I spent the next day at a cute, little spa in Old Towne, VA. The Fountains Day Spa was very quaint and I received personalized attention from all of the staff. I started with a great combination massage from Lisa Marie. She really targeted and worked on my much needed areas.
I was fully relaxed for my facial with Francis. He was a great esthetician. This particular spa uses Guinot products and I received the Hydradermie. It is called “The Star Facial Treatment” and now I know why. This facial uses electric currents instead of steam to help bring your skin back to life. I was a little nervous as he was explaining the treatment. I mean electrical currents and water sounds like an accident waiting to happen. On the contrary is a very soothing and wonderful treatment.
The facial has three steps: Ionization, Oxygenation and the Lifting Massage
During the Ionization phase the rollers (pictured to the left) emit a mild electrotherapy as Franic does a gentle massage with them. He says that it allows the mask to penetrate more deeply into the skin. Interesting right? I could almost taste the ions (What do ions taste like???). Ok, I felt a slight metallic taste in my mouth.
The second step is the Oxygenation phase. That thingy with the blue light (shown to the right) is used to oxygenate and energize the cells. I felt like I was apart of some cool science project.

The last step is the Lifting Massage. Francis had great hands and gave me a great face massage . All these steps together should produce a complexion that is balanced, healthy and glowing.
My face is ready for a Beat for sure. I guess I’m ready for my close up. Have you had any interesting or different facials? Share your story below.
I had that same facial a few months ago! It was so wonderful. I am scheduled to get another next week. They are 15% off during the week.
Glad you enjoyed your bday pampering! You deserved it!
This sounds like a great facial. Wow!

Hmmm that sounds interesting and relaxing. Great info!
