Don’t let your hair make you tardy for the party. Our celebrity stylist Adrin is back to help us tame those tresses for your next holiday affair. Here are some tips to make your hair Holiday Haute!!!
Start with a good hairdresser; they will help you make the right decisions and styles for you during the Holiday season.
Loose waves are always a hit during the holiday season and can be achieved by using a large barrel curling iron. This look is flattering on bobs, long, and medium length hair.
Upswept hair adds sophistication to your holiday look. Achieve the look by sectioning the hair into two parts. Twist and pin the bottom section into a tight bun. Sweep the top half back or to the side and tease out individual strands of hair. Curling the hair before upsweeping will always add more volume and flair to your look.
Hair accessories such as rhinestone clips and bedazzled ponytail holders are always a plus during the holidays.
Natural and highly textured hair can be dressed up with hair accessories. It can be upswept also. Twists, braids, locks, and afros can instantly be turned into holiday chic with the right accessories.
The best thing you can use to keep your tresses healthy during the holiday season is use a really good shampoo and conditioner.
The Ted Gibson Daily Cleanse shampoo and conditioner is always perfect. I like to place the client under a warm hair dryer or wrap a hot steamy towel around the hair for about five to ten minutes. This allows the cuticles to open up so that the conditioner that contains silk protein can penetrate and leave the hair shiny, healthy, and strong during the cold season.
For relaxed hair I highly recommend using Phytospecific Intense Nutrition Shampoo and Intense Nutrition Conditioner with 15 minutes under the dryer. Finish and style with the Phytospecific Daily Moisturizing Styling Balm; this will keep your hair hydrated during the winter months.
Lastly, if preparing dinner, keep the hair up and away until it’s time to serve the guest. Once the food is done and dinner is ready to be served, then reveal your hair.
