Seven’s BEAT- Summer Hair

Posted by: amaker02    Tags:      Posted date:  August 17, 2010  |  3 Comments

It’s sooo hot outside.  With the humidity and sun beating on your back the last thing I want to worry about is my hair.  Seven is back with some relief for your summertime look.

Twists

  • If your hair is natural, without any chemicals, two strand twist is always a  good choice during the summer. You can wear it twisted for a week or two, then separate the twist and wear it crinkled with texture for another week or two. If you would like to go swimming, you can wear the twists in the water and when finished swimming let the hair dry and open the twist up for a nice fun and funky fro.
  • Flat twist your hair if it is relaxed. You can use this hair style to wear to the Beach and get wet, once you get out the beach or water let the hair air dry and open. You will have beautiful wavy hair that can continue to last up to two three weeks. Even if you aren’t going to the beach, this can be a cool summer look.

Human Hair braids

  • Even though I am not a fan of braids and never would I recommend them, I do know some women are going to wear braids regardless. Therefore, If you do wear braids, I  suggest wearing human hair braids like Micro braids or individuals. Human hair braids are the least damaging to your hair. Synthetic hair can be damaging and causes the hair to break, become thin, and lead to alopecia. Synthetic hair is made of a plastic fiber and isn’t good to your natural hair.

A healthy sewn-in hair extension (weave)

  • is always a good alternative for the summer. You can go to the beach or pool and swim and get your hair wet without having to do it when you get out the water, especially when you use the Indian virgin hair. The hair is soft and manageable and curls up or can be worn straight depending on what look you want. Never have a bad summer hair day with a healthy hair weave by Seven.

Clip-on Ponytails

  • Buying the clip on ponytail is always a summer plus. On those hot days where you don’t feel like doing anything to your hair you can slick your hair back with a little gel or pomade and wear a clip-on faux ponytail.

Conditioning

  • When swimming always apply conditioner to your hair before getting in the water …it will protect it from the chlorine and/or salt and help leave your hair healthy and in good condition.

Head Bands

  • Are always good to wear during the summer. Just pull your hair back and let the head band do the work for you. Wear them with curly beachy hair or with a straight sleek look. Always comb or brush your hair thoroughly. Never put on a head band or ponytail without combing or brushing the hair through. It will cause your hair to become tangled and matted.  The head band isn’t to camouflage a bad hair day, it’s to add to a good hair day.

Thanks Adrin for sharing your summertime tips.

Hello Adrian, need some suggestions. I just recently moved to Dallas and it has been in the triple digits HOTT!!! everyday. I have not found a stylist and I want to cut my hair. Now, I am down the street from Supercuts and I want to walk in there and have them cut it for me. I have ear length hair but I dont want to cut it super short again. What can I do with the hair I have? To make it look stylish? I am in a new city and want a new look. I am not afraid to cut it short again, Just need some suggestions. Help!!!

Signed,
~Dont have a clue what to do with my hair in Dallas~

Yo

I’m definitely considering a clip on ponytail but a little afraid because I don’t quite know what to do with it.

Nik

This is great. I am going to try the flat twists. This weather is crazy. Thanks Adrin.
