The day finally arrived….. I became Mrs. LaWanda Toney. It was amazing, fun and exciting. This picture really captures the moment of realization. At this second in time I realized that I was starting a new chapter in my life and I was on my way to do that. The look speaks volumes to me and is one of my favorite pictures I have seen so far. Everything finally came together. I would like to share with you how this beat came to be. The make up and the hair.
My Bridal Hair
My hair was a journey. Adrin and I started a couple of months back and really couldn’t settle on anything that I loved. We tried flexees, twist and curls, blow outs, wash and go’s. Nothing was working. I did not want to wear my hair straight. Not because I didn’t like the look but it wasn’t what I imagined for my wedding. For the past ten years my hair has been apart of my signature. It was as important to me as my dress. Adrin was so patient and understanding with me. However, I knew I was plucking his nerves because I was on my own nerves. LOL One night, I started watching hair tutorials on youtube and found my look. I was so excited!!!! I emailed it to Adrin and asked him to study it carefully and he did. It was perfect and with the assistance of a wandless curling iron for my frizzy ends he created a masterpiece. Below is the video that inspired the look:
The Beauty Beat
Adrin also “Beat” myself and the bridal party to the ground for my wedding. He was amazing with achieving the perfect look for all of us. He used a variety of products from CoverGirl, MAC, and Black Opal. MAC Razin was the consistent blush on the entire bridal party as well as a vino lip pencil. Everyone was excited when they got out of the chair. He was truly a miracle worker. Here’s the “Pretty Girl Rock” crew:
Last but not least is a picture of my husband and I. We are still talking about all the fun we had at the wedding and reception. I will share more pics as I get them. We are ready for more fun, more love and more BEATS!!!!!
You looked amazing Boo, stunning actually! Adrin did a fantastic job.
You looked great! So sorry that I couldn’t make it.
